This is not just any video editing program Stone. This is AVID Express Studio HD! This is the biggest, bestest editor in the world (in my opinion, which is of course the only one that counts.)
I mean, this is the shit the big studios and major networks use (the only ones that can afford it). This is what the big kids play with damnit.
This is how they edit: MTV (and TRL), A&E, 24, Law and Order, Joey, Nick Teen, Nick Jr., Toyota commercials, Everybody loves Raymond.
This what KromA uses to edit music videos (Britney-Toxic, Ricky Martin-Juramento, The Chemical Brothers-Get yourself high...). But KromA is not just any music video producer. They are "a full-service visual effects house based in Los Angeles, California that specializes in creating music videos that require more than the usual rapid-fire editing." Their shit is Bananas baby! Back on topic:
Avid is what they used to edit Farenheit 911, Hero, Kindey, Madagascar, Elektra, Kicking and Screaming, Pride and Prejudice, the Interpreter, Garden State, Sin City, The Darkness, Cursed, The Ring one and two, Sideways, the Aciator, Finding Neverland, Million Dollar Baby, Ray... It's what the big kids play with.
And because I only have one job to do today, I'm taking some DVD's to work, and I'm going to upload them and recut them, infringe all sorts of copyrights, and just play with my new toy.
I need to go shower and get to work. Later.

That you should, that you should.
All other systems bow before AVID.

Of course, if this was out of my pocket, there's no way I'd even come close to Avid.

P.S. I'm not serious bout all the Avid-is-superior-I'm-an-asshole stuff. I jus like it really a lot, and am excited they bought the new system.

yeah somehow the 100 bucks i pain for pinnacle makes it a program that does not even come close to avid

Yeah... Yeah... Avid's got so many options, so many, I don't know, everything. I can kind of see why they charge so much for it. I've never really worked with anything else. I worked with one system a little in High School, but I don't even remember the name. Avid's a beautiful piece of equipment.
